I have tried to make this applet as self-explanatory as possible, but here are the details on its functions.
Initialize it by either double clicking ot dropping a folder on it.
If you double clicked you will be prompted for a fodler. This folder should contain the images you want rotated as your desktop pictures. Sorry no aliases, but subfolders are OK.
If you choose to drop a folder on it the folder should be your images folder.
Every time it runs it will increment its internal counter and set that file item as the new Desktop Picture. Each time the applet runs it checks the modification date of the images folder. If it determines the folder has changed it must reform the file list. This can take a quite a while. Other runs are much quicker.
While DTP Rotator does not require MacOS8, it does require the Desktop Pictures control panel and the scriptable Finder. So I guess some version of MacOS8 is required.
You can run it when you want a new viewpoint, or put it into your Startup Items folder to get a new view every day!
DTP Rotator is free, and may be freely distributed although ownership remains with me, Steven Fuchs. Any inclusion of DTP Rotator in a package which is not free must be approved by me.
